Your band & account

Members and roles

☰ → Manage band (band admins only) lists everyone, their role, and any invites still outstanding (resend or revoke from the same place). The band's name and icon live there too.

Invite by link. If someone signs up with Google instead of clicking the link, their account still joins the band automatically as long as the email matches.

Everyone sets a display name on first sign-in — that's what appears on notes, riffs and the activity feed, so "who changed this" is a name and not an email address.

Notes and activity

• Notes — pin a note on a song for the band. Useful for "second verse needs a re-record" or "this is the version we played Saturday".
• 🔔 Activity — what changed while you were away: saves, imports, new riffs, notes.

Storage

The meter at the bottom of the song list shows your usage. Storage is pooled per account — if you own more than one band, they share the allowance — and it counts your current library, not its version history.

Going over doesn't delete anything, ever. Uploads pause until you clear space or move up a tier.

Settings

The ☰ menu splits this in two: an Account section for you, and an App section for the editor.

☰ → 👤 Profile & account holds your avatar, your display name, your email address and the note-email toggle (Email me when a bandmate leaves a note). To change the address, press Change, type the new one and Send confirmation: nothing changes until you open the link we email to the new address. Passwords are changed from the sign-in page with Forgot your password?. The editor's look lives under Settings, below.

☰ → ⚙ Settings covers the library and the device, in three tabs:

• Editing: Theme (the colour theme, saved on this device), Stereo import (below) and Beat grid by default, which shows the BPM grid on every song without toggling it each time.
• Video Prompter: the device prompter's look. Theme preset, background, lyric and highlight colours, font, size and alignment, with a preview. ⤓ Get fonts from B.Beat downloads the unit's own prompter fonts so the preview renders what the device will.
• Routing: B.Beat model (below), Auto-route by family, Send to the B.Beat after each save (when the agent sees your unit and the whole new version can go live, Save version also sends it, no dialog; anything that needs a full send says so instead; meant for the person next to the unit) and the Families list with each family's name, colour and Disable switch, plus default output channels where the library uses them. Routing itself lives on the track: see Editing a song.

Stereo import decides what happens to a stereo file you bring in. Keep stereo (two linked L/R tracks) is the default: a B.Beat has no stereo track, it stores a stereo stem as two linked mono tracks, and that is what this makes. The other three fold it to one track: Downmix to mono (sum L+R), Mono, keep the Left channel or Mono, keep the Right channel.

B.Beat model sets how many outputs the Out picker offers on every track: Evo and Plus have 6, X has 8, Pro16 has 16. Left on Detect it offers only the outputs your songs already use. It is saved per library. The note under it shows what the connected unit reported (its device code and firmware), because the B.Beat does not state its model itself.

Signing out and coming back

Your rehearsal setup — private mix, transpose, loops — is saved to your profile, not the device you're using, so it follows you between computers.
