FAQ

Is my library safe? No save ever overwrites another, and a song that gets mangled can be restored on its own — right-click it → Restore an earlier version…. Content lives in cloud object storage with a daily off-site database backup. Your original .backup file is never modified — and exporting a fresh one is one click, so you always hold your own copy.

Do I need a B.Beat to use setshed? No — the editor, practice space, Shed, setlists and amp all work standalone. The B.Beat is where the stage half plugs in.

Which browsers work? Chrome and Edge get everything (Web MIDI needs them). Firefox and Safari cover the core editor. The desktop agent covers what browsers can't do at all — device sync, live amp, wet riff recording.

Why does Chrome/Edge say setshed can't reach the agent? Recent versions require your permission before any website may talk to your own computer. 🔌 menu → 🔓 Let setshed reach this computer → Allow. It looks exactly like the agent not running; one tester lost days to it thinking it was his antivirus.

What does the free tier include? The full editor, the Shed, setlists, practice and B.Beat sync. Storage is the limit, not features. See pricing.

Something's wrong. Where do I report it? The Discord. Most of the release notes started as somebody saying "hey, this is weird."
